Boldness changes everything

剛剛收到通知，還是無法豁免簽證的問題啊。

前因是這樣的。學校這邊提供了一個offer，是紐約銀行開的暑期實習，地點在比利時布魯塞爾。第一次面試的時候，因為我是唯一一個非EU的申請者，所以有沒有工作許可就成的首先要釐清的問題。

來自學校那邊，幫我問銀行的人的結果，得到的答覆是這樣：

I'm afraid we encountered cases like this several times and after checking thoroughly with the Belgian ministry we cannot allow a Taiwanees residence studying outside Belgium to work with us unless they have a work permit to work in Belgium. There is only an exception if the student studies in Belgium and is subscribed to the academic year during the summer traineeship.
Unfortunately there is not a lot we can do as we have to follow the Belgian regulation.

大意：跟比利時勞工部確認後，一個不在比利時唸書的台灣人，是無法在比利時實習；需要工作簽證。

想想其實是有點鬱悶的，資格不符合的原因，不是因為本身能力不夠，而是身分問題。沒辦法，身為台灣人，本來就得要有這種自覺。如果不是超級強者，是很難跨越身分問題上的那條鴻溝。某種程度來說，有部份也是因為自己的能力不夠吧？沒辦法厲害到讓公司自己來找你，還是得自己到處去找公司。

說不遺憾是騙人的，而且參雜了小小的不甘心。不過鬱悶的時間，請不要超過一個小時；還要很多事情等著我做！
